Thanks guys for the nice messages. Indeed the Datejust will always feel a little bit more iconic and special. I was so close to buy a 16710 (Black Bezel) from DavidSW and we had already negotiated the bank wire price but while browsing the Rolex website I . It seems to me a good alternative for someone who wants to enjoy the watch immediately without going pay a service on the sh3135 and does not want to change the DW for a gen.

The 36mm datejust series was always competed by the old factories GM and EW before, Since the second half of last year, as the two top factories VS and Clean joined the 36mm datejust camp, you guys has more choice in this series. ARF seems to be the consensus best. The flaw has always been the DW. Some have said recent batches have skinnier numbers (this is good). Others have said there isn’t much improvement (some numbers look better, others still aren’t right). But it doesn’t matter. If it bothers you, I think a gen DW can be found for about 0. #1.
